Conducting Your Virtual Deposition During Social Distancing

The Coronavirus continues to affect more and more people and businesses every day. During this uncertain time, our hearts go out to anyone who has been impacted by the virus. We also want to take a moment to thank the first responders and healthcare providers who continue to keep us safe during this pandemic.

We at Elite Court Reporting take this virus very seriously. During this time of social distancing, many legal teams are opting to conduct depositions remotely, and our court reporters are ready to meet that need. Elite’s team of reporters are highly qualified to provide reporting services for depositions telephonically or via Zoom videoconferencing.

In fact, if all parties agree, no one, including the deponent, needs to be in the same room. As long as all counsel stipulate on the record at the beginning of the proceeding,  the reporter may administer the oath from a location different than the deponent’s location, and the deposition can go forward as planned. Conducting a deposition remotely allows everyone to be in compliance with the health, safety and social-distancing guidelines.

No matter the situation, Elite is committed to providing best-in-class services, and that includes virtual reporting. Please share this with anyone in your office who may need our court reporting services. We are here and available to help with your next deposition or proceeding.

If you have any questions, please email Veronica Hernandez at scheduling@elitedepo.com or you may call our office at (949) 829-9222.

Stay healthy!
